The best free logo APIs in 2026 are Worldvectorlogo, Brandfetch, Context.dev (formerly Brand.dev), Logo.dev and LogoKit. None of them need a card to start. Worldvectorlogo is the free pick for real SVG logos found by brand name, with 1,000 calls a month. Brandfetch and Logo.dev give far more free image requests, but with hotlinking or attribution rules.
This post is published by Worldvectorlogo. We list our own service first. Other options follow in alphabetical order. We compare free plans only. We checked limits and rules on each provider’s own site on October 31, 2026.
At a Glance
| API | Free limit | Card required | Attribution or usage rule | Free format |

| Brandfetch | 1M logo renders a month; 500K searches a month; 100 one-time brand fetches | No | No attribution; hotlinking required | WebP, PNG, JPG; SVG for some types |
| Context.dev | 1,000 credits a month; 10K one-time logo pulls | No | None stated on pricing page | SVG first when available |

| LogoKit | 5,000 requests a day | No | “Logos by LogoKit” link required | PNG, 64 × 64 |
Free limits are counted in different units. Some count image loads in a browser. Others count API calls or credits. A big image quota is not the same as a big API quota.
What Happens at the Free Limit
Each provider handles the limit in its own way. This matters if your app gets a sudden spike in traffic.
- Worldvectorlogo: 1,000 calls a month on the free key. Every endpoint costs one credit. Server errors (5xx) are refunded, so failed calls do not eat your quota.
- Brandfetch: its pricing page says the Logo and Brand Search APIs are soft-capped. Going over sends you a notice instead of blocking requests.
- Context.dev: the free plan has no overage. Calls stop when the credits run out.
- Logo.dev: the Community plan has a hard CDN request limit.
- LogoKit: the limit resets each day, at 5,000 requests.
1. Worldvectorlogo
Our Worldvectorlogo API Free plan costs $0 and gives 1,000 calls a month. You do not need a card. You can even test it with no key at all, at 10 calls a day per IP.
The free plan uses the same endpoints as paid plans. You can search 127,000+ vector logos by brand name or slug. You can browse 43,000+ tags and 21 sectors. Each result links to a real SVG file on our CDN, plus a PNG version. You can also fetch the raw SVG markup.
To be honest, our free quota is the smallest here. It suits testing, side projects and low-traffic tools. We also have no lookup by website domain yet. When you grow, Base costs $29 a month for 100,000 calls.
- 1,000 free calls a month, no card
- Keyless testing at 10 calls a day
- Real vector SVG on the free plan
- Smaller free volume than image CDNs
curl "https://worldvectorlogo.com/api/v1/logos/search?q=puma&api_key=YOUR_API_KEY"
Best for: Developers who want free SVG logos by brand name for a prototype or small tool.
2. Brandfetch
Brandfetch’s Free plan has the largest image quota here. It includes 1M logo renders a month, 500K brand searches a month and 100 brand fetches. The brand fetches are one-time, not monthly. The pricing page says: “No cost, no card, no hassle.”
Brandfetch says it does not ask for attribution on the Logo API. You must include your client ID with every request. You must also hotlink the logos. That means you embed Brandfetch’s links in your app and do not save the files. The Logo API calls 1M requests a month a fair use limit.
- Largest free image quota
- No attribution link
- Hotlinking only; no caching
- Only 100 full brand fetches, once
Best for: Free apps that show many logos by domain and can hotlink them.
3. Context.dev (Formerly Brand.dev)
Brand.dev now redirects to Context.dev. Its Free plan gives 1,000 API credits a month with no card. It adds 10K one-time pulls from Logo Link, its direct image URL. Logo Link does not use API credits.
The free plan has no overage, so calls stop at the limit. It allows 2 requests at the same time. The Brand API can find a brand by domain, company name, work email, stock ticker or page URL. Its docs say SVG comes first when a brand has one. We found no attribution rule on its pricing page.
- 1,000 credits a month, no card
- Free logo pulls are one-time only
- Many lookup types on the free plan
Best for: Testing brand profile lookups from emails or domains.
4. Logo.dev
Logo.dev’s free Community plan gives 500,000 logo CDN requests a month. It is a hard limit. You also get $5 of API credits a month. No card is needed.
Attribution applies to some users. Its attribution page says: “A commercial project on the free Community plan must show a visible link to Logo.dev.” The link must be on your live site, on a public page, where users can see it. Personal projects do not need it. Paid plans remove the rule.
The CDN serves JPG, PNG and WebP. Its docs say it does not serve SVG.
- 500,000 free image requests a month
- Attribution link for commercial projects
- No SVG
Best for: Personal projects and free tools that show raster logos by domain.
5. LogoKit
LogoKit’s free plan gives 5,000 logo requests a day. No card is required. It includes the domain Logo API and the Stock Logo API by ticker.
Two limits stand out. Free logos are only 64 × 64 pixels. And the pricing page marks the free plan “Attribution required.” Its migration page names the link text: “Logos by LogoKit.” Brand data is not part of the free plan.
- 5,000 requests a day, no card
- Small 64 × 64 PNG logos
- Attribution link required
Best for: Tiny logo icons in lists, where a small image is enough.
How to Choose
