Best Clearbit Logo API Alternatives

The best Clearbit Logo API alternatives in 2026 are Worldvectorlogo, Brandfetch, Context.dev (formerly Brand.dev), Logo.dev and LogoKit. Clearbit’s free Logo API at logo.clearbit.com shut down on December 8, 2025. If you want a drop-in swap by website domain, pick Logo.dev, Brandfetch or LogoKit. If you want real vector SVG logos found by brand name, pick our Worldvectorlogo API.

This post is published by Worldvectorlogo. We list our own service first. Other options follow in alphabetical order. We checked prices and details on each provider’s own site on October 31, 2026.

What Happened to the Clearbit Logo API

Clearbit is owned by HubSpot. HubSpot announced the end of the free Logo API in its developer changelog. The notice says: “The API will shut down on December 8, 2025.” After that date, requests to logo.clearbit.com fail and return no logos. Logo.dev’s migration guide says HubSpot first deprecated the API on March 18, 2025.

HubSpot’s notice points users to Logo.dev. But you have more options. The right one depends on how you look up logos and which file format you need.

Our Worldvectorlogo API gives you access to 127,000+ vector logos. Every logo is a real SVG file, served through a direct CDN link. PNG files are rendered from the same SVG. You can also get the full raw SVG markup for any logo.

One honest point first. Clearbit worked by website domain. Our API has no lookup by domain yet. You search by brand name or slug instead. You can also browse 43,000+ tags and 21 sectors, list logos by downloads or date, and pull random logos.

The Free plan costs $0 and gives 1,000 calls a month with no card. Without a key, you get 10 calls a day per IP. The Base plan costs $29 a month for 100,000 calls. That is $0.29 per 1,000 calls. On Base you can buy credit packs that never expire. A $100 pack gives 400,000 calls, or $0.25 per 1,000.

  • Real vector SVG for every logo, plus PNG
  • Search by brand name or slug, browse by tag and sector
  • One call is one credit on every endpoint; 5xx errors are refunded
  • Burst limit of 300 requests a minute, JSON responses
  • No lookup by website domain yet

A search call looks like this. You can send the key as a Bearer token or as an api_key query parameter.

curl "https://worldvectorlogo.com/api/v1/logos/search?q=puma" \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer YOUR_API_KEY"

Best for: Apps, design tools and sites that know the brand name and need sharp vector logos at a low price per call.

2. Brandfetch

Brandfetch offers a free Logo API and a paid Brand API. Its pricing page lists 1M logo renders a month on the Free plan. The Logo API docs call it “completely free up to 1M monthly requests.” You need a free client ID on every request. Brandfetch says it does not ask for attribution.

There is a catch. Brandfetch requires you to hotlink its logos. That means you embed its image links directly and do not cache the files. Caching needs a custom setup through its sales team. Lookups work by domain, stock or ETF ticker, ISIN or crypto symbol. Its guidelines say SVG is offered for the logo and symbol types.

The Growth plan costs $99 a month billed yearly, or $129 month to month. It includes 2,500 Brand API fetches a month. Extra fetches cost $0.10 each.

  • Free Logo API up to 1M requests a month, no card
  • No attribution asked on the Logo API
  • Hotlinking required; no caching by default
  • Full brand data (colors, fonts and more) on the paid Brand API

Best for: Teams that look up logos by domain and are happy to embed hotlinked images.

3. Context.dev (Formerly Brand.dev)

The brand.dev website now redirects to Context.dev. Its Brand API finds a brand profile by domain, company name, work email, stock ticker, transaction text or page URL. Its docs say an SVG variant is returned first when one exists. For simple image embeds, it offers Logo Link, a direct image URL that does not use API credits.

The Free plan gives 1,000 credits a month and 10K one-time logo pulls, with no card. The Developer plan costs $20 a month for 10,000 credits and 100K logo pulls. The Pro plan starts at $90 a month.

  • Many lookup types, including company name and work email
  • SVG when the brand has one
  • Free logo pulls are one-time, not monthly

Best for: Products that need full brand profiles, not only a logo image.

4. Logo.dev

Logo.dev is the service HubSpot recommends. It is the closest drop-in swap for Clearbit. You change the host from logo.clearbit.com to img.logo.dev and add your publishable key. Lookups work by domain, and also by name, ticker, ISIN and crypto symbol.

The free Community plan gives 500,000 logo CDN requests a month with no card. It has a hard limit. A commercial project on the free plan must show a visible link to Logo.dev on a public page. The Startup plan costs $33 a month for 1,000,000 CDN requests and removes the attribution rule. The Pro plan costs $150 a month.

Logo.dev’s docs say its CDN does not serve SVG. You get JPG by default, or PNG and WebP.

  • Closest match to the old Clearbit URL format
  • Large free tier, but attribution for commercial use
  • Monogram fallback when a logo is missing
  • No SVG from the CDN

Best for: Fast Clearbit migrations where small raster logos by domain are enough.

5. LogoKit

LogoKit also offers a domain-based image URL, such as img.logokit.com/stripe.com. Its free tier gives 5,000 requests a day with no card. Free logos are 64 × 64 pixels. The free tier requires a “Logos by LogoKit” link. Paid plans remove it.

The Startup plan costs $40 a month for 50,000 logo requests a day and 256 × 256 logos. LogoKit also offers logos by stock ticker. Its migration page says logos are delivered as PNG. It does not mention SVG.

  • Simple domain-based image URL
  • Daily limits, not monthly
  • Small 64 × 64 logos and attribution on the free tier

Best for: Small apps that need tiny favicon-style logos by domain.

How to Choose

  • Check how you look up logos. If your data only has website domains, a domain-based service is the easier swap. If you have brand names, our name search works well.
  • Check the file format. Raster logos blur when you scale them up. If you need sharp logos at any size, see our list of the best SVG logo APIs.
  • Read the free-tier rules. Worldvectorlogo, Logo.dev and LogoKit ask for attribution on free plans. Brandfetch requires hotlinking. Our best free logo APIs post compares these rules.
  • Work out the cost per call. Plans count usage in different ways. Our logo API pricing guide puts them side by side.
